HT (High Tension) panel is a metal-enclosed electrical switchboard designed to receive and distribute high-voltage electricity, typically ranging from 3.3 kV to 33 kV. These panels are critical in substations, industries, and large commercial buildings for controlling, protecting, and switching power supply through components like circuit breakers (VCB/SF6) and relays
Vacuum Circuit Breaker (VCB)
The 11/22/33KV Vacuum Circuit Breaker (VCB) Panel is designed for transformer protection, ensuring reliability and safety. Manufactured to meet strict industry standards, these panels are known for their superior quality and cost-effectiveness. VCB panels are available from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) for new installations, repairs, retrofits, and upgrade projects.
How VCB Panels Work
A VCB panel is a type of circuit breaker where the arc quenching occurs in a vacuum environment. This technology is best suited for medium voltage applications. Although it can be used for higher voltages, it is not commercially viable.
Key Features & Materials
- Utilizes CuCr (Copper Chromium) for electrical contacts, ensuring high performance.
- Requires minimal maintenance compared to other relay control panels.
- Ideal for industrial, commercial, and power distribution applications.
Why Choose VCB Technology?
VCB is one of the most trusted and reliable current interruption technologies in medium voltage switchgear. Engineers continue to enhance its efficiency and durability, making it a preferred choice for modern electrical systems.
NGR PANEL
The NGR Panel houses a Neutral Grounding Transformer (NGT) and a Neutral Grounding Resistor (NGR), which are essential for grounding or earthing the neutral current during an unbalanced three-phase generator load. This setup ensures proper generator protection.
Functionality
The Neutral Grounding Transformer (NGT) steps down the voltage of the neutral bus from 6.6 KV, 11 KV, or 15.75 KV to 110V or 220V. This reduced voltage is then connected to a neutral grounding resistor and an earth terminal to bring the neutral bus voltage as close as possible to zero.
Key Features
- Compact & Safe: Designed to optimize space while ensuring safety.
- Economical: Cost-effective solution for grounding needs.
- Easy Maintenance: Vertical bus bars simplify servicing, even in double-front panels.
- Reliable Performance: Fully type-tested bus bar system.
- Space-Saving Design: Compact depth for efficient use of switchgear rooms.
- Improved Accessibility: Wider cable alley for easy termination.

- Tuned to 3rd, 5th, 7th, 11th, or 13th Order Harmonics
HT Breaker Panel (Load Break Switch Panel)
The HT Breaker Panel, also known as the Load Break Switch (LBS) Panel, is designed for both indoor and outdoor applications. It features a high-performance Load Break Switch (LBS) that enables seamless switching ON & OFF of transformers. The panel is equipped with HRC fuses that conform to international standards, ensuring reliable protection.
The tripping system is implemented through a fuse-blown mechanism, providing enhanced safety. Additionally, 11 KV CT (Current Transformer) and PT (Potential Transformer) are incorporated for both measurement and protection of the electrical system.
Applications
- Power Transformers
- Power Generation
- Capacitor Banks
- Power Distribution
Generator Circuit Breaker (GCB) Panel
The Generator Circuit Breaker (GCB) compartment provides on-line isolation in the main power circuit between the generator and generator transformer, utilizing either a vacuum or SF6 draw-out circuit breaker. The metal-enclosed switchgear compartment houses both control and protection system components, ensuring reliable operation.
Powergear has also designed mobile cubicles equipped with line-side and neutral-side bus bars, along with the Generator Circuit Breaker and metering/protection equipment. These mobile GCB cubicles are mounted on a trailer, making them ideal for short-term mobile power plants.
